Introducing Subdeacon Seth Williams

Our Subdeacon, Seth Williams, is one of the founding members of our parish. Sbdn. Seth is a true son of Southeast Missouri. He was born in Poplar Bluff and graduated high school in Jackson, MO. It was at Jackson High School that he met his wife, Emmelia (Michelle). Together, they have five children: Malachi (9), Ksenia (7), Finnian (6), Eilish (4), and Lucia (1).

Sbdn. Seth underwent most of his catechism at St. Maximus the Confessor Orthodox Church (OCA) in Denton, TX. He was baptized there by Fr. Justin Frederick before returning to labor and worship in his home state of Missouri. He has recently completed the St. Stephen Certificate Program through the Antiochian House of Studies. On May 5/18, he was ordained to the subdiaconate by His Eminence, the Most Reverend Gabriel, Archbishop of Montreal and Canada (Locum Tenens of Chicago and Mid-America). He looks forward to continuing to serve Christ in our parish and his local community.
